In today’s world, many scientists attempt to separate faith from reason, as if belief in Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture stand in opposition to true discovery. But the reality is this: science exists because God created an ordered universe. Without His design, there would be no laws of physics, no principles of chemistry, and no structure to biology. Every formula and every constant is evidence of a Creator who spoke the cosmos into existence.
The Bible is not anti-science; in fact, it is the foundation of it. Long before telescopes, satellites, and particle accelerators, Scripture revealed truths that science would later confirm: the earth hangs on nothing (Job 26:7), the stars are too numerous to count (Jeremiah 33:22), and the life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). God authored both the Book of Scripture and the book of creation, and they will never contradict one another because they flow from the same Source.
Yet, as Romans 1:20 reminds us, the evidence of God is clear, but mankind suppresses the truth:
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”
The issue isn’t a lack of evidence — it’s a lack of surrender. Science without Christ seeks to dethrone the Creator, replacing Him with human pride and theories that exclude Him. But when we rightly acknowledge Jesus as the Author and Sustainer of all things (Colossians 1:16-17), we see science for what it truly is — the study of God’s craftsmanship.
For believers, our faith and our pursuit of knowledge walk hand-in-hand. Every galaxy discovered, every DNA strand decoded, and every law of nature uncovered points back to one unshakable truth: Jesus Christ reigns supreme over creation.
In the end, science doesn’t diminish God — it magnifies Him. When viewed through the lens of Scripture, science reveals the depth of His wisdom, the vastness of His power, and the intentionality of His design.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” — Proverbs 1:7
Stand firm in your faith. Scripture is not outdated, irrelevant, or opposed to scientific truth. It is the backbone upon which all true knowledge rests — and without Jesus, there is no foundation at all.
